If you’re not wanting to postpone the festivities and feel comfortable proceeding with a bachelorette party this year, you can do a few things to make it safer to keep you and your squad healthy.
Let’s start out with the CDC’s guidelines (as of posting this article on September 15, 2020):
- Wash your hands often, or use hand sanitizer that’s 60% alcohol or higher
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
- Stay 6 feet apart
- Wear a mask when you cannot socially distance
- Always cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces daily
And it probably goes without saying at this point: if you have symptoms or think you may be sick, stay home and avoid others.
*Please note that the CDC recommendations and information on COVID-19 is continuously changing and this information is up to date with the time of posting. If you’re reading it at a later date make sure to check with the current CDC guidelines for your area or the area you are planning your bachelorette party in for up to date information.

Where to Throw a Bachelorette Party During Coronavirus
You’ve decided you still want to celebrate your upcoming nuptials with a bachelorette party, but where can you currently throw one? While a lot of cities and popular bachelorette party locations are opened back up and are doing their best to operate safely, it’s ultimately up to you and your partygoers what you’re comfortable with.
Home
The most obvious option is to throw a bachelorette party at home. It may not be what you originally dreamed of having, but a home bachelorette party can still be a ton of fun! And it even saves you and your bachelorette partygoers money by not having the expense of a destination party, and who doesn’t love that?
At a home bachelorette party, you have lots of options for themes. Some popular ones are:
Spa Night
Pamper your bride squad with an at-home spa day or night! You can give each other manicures and facials, or hire someone to come in and do them professionally. Pop the bubbly and just enjoy your relaxing girl time, and you can even turn it into a sleepover with movies and popcorn later in the night!
Vino Before Vows
Do you and your gals love some good wine? Put together a wine tasting with lots of different types of wine and pair them with cheeses and other finger food for a fun and classy bachelorette party. Just make sure you have plenty of disposable cups or glassware to do the tasting, you’ll want to make sure everyone is keeping their saliva to themselves!
Garden Party
If you’d rather keep the party outside, a garden party is the perfect option! It’s classy, elegant, and always a good time. Make a few batches of mimosas and have a spread of luncheon items, snacks, and dessert. You may even want to have it catered to take some of the pressure off of you.
Pool Party
Do you have access to a private pool, either at your home, a friend’s or family member’s, or even an Airbnb, so that you can invite all your girls over for some safe fun in the sun. Staying outside provides more ability to socially distance, and you won’t be interacting with many people outside of your group.
Grab some cute floaties and matching swimsuits to make it feel like a true event, make some fun, fruity drinks and take lots of cute pictures!
Extra tips:
- Disinfect all surfaces before your guests arrive
- Have cute party-themed masks for guests if you are concerned about infection
- Keep your gathering size small and within the limit/guidelines for your area
- Have hand sanitizer at the party entrance so guests can clean their hands right away
Virtual Bachelorette Party
Want all your lovely ladies to stay home but still take part in the fun? Throw a virtual bachelorette party! You can always plan an in-person one for a later date – some brides are even opting to have them after their weddings if the timeline isn’t allowing for it beforehand. A “night on the town after the gown” type of party may be the best fit for you and your group!
Send out champagne to all your gal pals and plan a zoom call. Have some bachelorette games ready so you can all sip and laugh the night away from the comfort of your homes.
Destination Bachelorette Party
Like we previously mentioned, there are a lot of destinations that are open and ready for bachelorette partygoers to visit. Most businesses and cities are doing their best to follow CDC guidelines and have implemented safety practices to keep patrons and tourists safe, leading to many bachelorettes seeking out destination bachelorette parties again.
Nashville
This is a huge spot for bachelorette parties. In fact, during previous years, you’d be hard pressed to visit downtown Nashville without spotting several bachelorette parties barhopping across the city’s lively downtown.
With lots of rooftops and open-air bars, there are definitely some safer-feeling options. You can also reserve a transpotainment vehicle to take your squad from stop to stop. These range from bike-bars where you pedal up and down Broadway, to larger trucks that have an open back with benches to sit.
Las Vegas
The classic bachelorette party choice is obviously Las Vegas. While it’s been deserted for months, Las Vegas has finally reopened for the most part and has implemented safety measures and close monitoring to make sure it doesn’t become a hotspot again.
If Vegas is calling your name, pack your masks and make sure to socially distance as much as possible. During the day, a pool party is a great option because you’re outside in the fresh air, and there are plenty of options for rooftop bars or outdoor bar areas if you prefer those.
Miami
Craving some fun in the sun? Miami is the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine at the beach and poolside. Enjoy some fruity drinks with the girls, and don’t forget color-coordinating swimsuits, fun floaties, and silly straws to make the day more special.
Nearby Camping Trip
A happy medium in-between a full-on destination bachelorette party and an at-home party, is a camping trip! You get to enjoy the great outdoors, have plenty of fresh air around, and spend time with your besties.
If you have a cool campsite nearby at a lake or in the mountains, or even just in the woods, you’ll be amazed at how peaceful and fun camping can be. Pack a bunch of great food and mixers for drinks. Just make sure you have your own individual tents so you’re not breathing on each other all night!
Don’t forget some cute gear!

It goes without saying you want to feel fierce and fabulous at your bachelorette party! That may mean more casual or dressed up depending on the location and style of party. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite bride-to-be looks for you and your gals no matter the occasion.

Bachelorette Party Themes
It’s always super fun to have a bachelorette party with a theme, no matter where you’re throwing your shindig. There are so many options to choose from but we’ve listed some popular ones that brides have been gravitating towards.
For a more extensive list, check out the most Instagram-worthy bachelorette party themes we compiled a few weeks back.
Mardi Gras
Party like it’s Mardi Gras with beads for everyone, and of course, decorating with lots of purple, green and gold. Signature drinks that are popular in New Orleans like the Hurricane and color-coordinating snacks will make it feel like even more of a party.
Pretty in Pink
Have all your girls wear pink while you wear white, and decorate with all things pretty and pink! Keep the theme going with pink drinks and a tasty dessert table.
Nauti-cal
Have a nautical themed party with captain’s hats for your squad, navy stripes, and yacht-themed decorations. Bonus points if you rent a boat for the day or plan your party at a lake house!
Is it Safe to Have an In-Person Bachelorette Party?
This is a tricky question to answer because CDC guidelines are continuously evolving and different states and cities have different requirements. It ultimately depends on where you want to have it and how you personally feel about the health and safety of the situation.
Some good rules of thumb to follow are:
- Keep up to date with CDC information and guidelines for the area you are planning on having a bachelorette party in
- Wear your mask when you cannot socially distance if that’s what is required and if it’s not, do so if that’s what makes you feel comfortable
- Keep hand sanitizer in your purse and make sure to use it after touching high-touch surfaces like door handles, menus, bar tops, etc. and absolutely before touching any food, your mouth, eyes, or nose
- Sanitize your hotel room or rental property’s high-touch surfaces upon arrival. The CDC also recommends doing this once per day
- Stay home if you are feeling unwell
- Plan your party outdoors if you feel more comfortable being in the fresh air – whether that’s outdoor bars, camping, or a garden party.
- Try to book hotel rooms, rental properties, or event spaces that have a forgiving cancellation policy in case you do need to cancel your stay last minute
- Understand that some invitees may not feel comfortable gathering and will decline to attend – don’t take it personally, they still love you!
Final Thoughts…
Whatever you decide to do to celebrate your bachelorette party, make sure it fits your comfort level, and the comfort level of those in attendance. Always follow CDC guidelines for safety recommendations and stay up to date on the information available for that area leading up to the bachelorette party. If possible, book a hotel or rental property that will allow you to cancel your stay in case their is a rapid increase in cases there.
You really make it seem really easy along with your presentation but I to find this matter to be actually one thing which I feel I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely wide for me. I’m taking a look ahead to your next publish, I will try to get the grasp of it!
I’ve learned many important things through your post. I would also like to convey that there might be situation where you will apply for a loan and do not need a co-signer such as a Government Student Support Loan. In case you are getting that loan through a standard financier then you need to be willing to have a co-signer ready to assist you to. The lenders are going to base any decision using a few factors but the main one will be your credit worthiness. There are some loan merchants that will as well look at your work history and make a decision based on this but in almost all cases it will be based on on your scores.
Can I just say what a relief to find somebody who actually knows what theyre speaking about on the internet. You definitely know how you can bring an issue to gentle and make it important. More folks must learn this and perceive this facet of the story. I cant believe youre no more standard since you positively have the gift.
