Do you need inspiration for your perfect wedding? Whether it’s supermodels to A-List actors, everyone always wants to see the pictures from a celebrity wedding. Celebrity weddings sometimes cost a lot of money- however, that doesn’t mean you can’t take inspiration from them. You can replicate many of their ceremonies without spending much money. Here are all the best celebrity weddings we watched in awe, which can give you a few ideas for your big day.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

When Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas wed in 2018, it was one of the year’s most popular social events. Their three-day destination wedding included cultural ceremonies from both Nick and Priyanka’s cultures- to honor her Hindu roots, they had both a traditional Hindu wedding with a mehndi. They were both wearing traditional Indian dresses. They also had a traditional Western wedding, with Priyanka wearing a white dress. Honoring each other’s culture and roots is a beautiful way to commemorate the joining of two people.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

John and Chrissy tied the knot in 2013, with the beautiful scenery of Lake Como in the background. While not many couples can afford a ceremony in Italy, the venue had a special meaning to both of them. Reportedly, they fell in love here while on vacation in the area. Picking a venue which has a clear significance for you and your partner can make your wedding day even more beautiful. During the wedding ceremony, they dined on a four-tier carrot cake. Personalizing your cake and making it something that both you and your partner enjoy can be a great way to make your wedding feel personal and special.

Victoria and David Beckham

Victoria and David Beckham’s 750k ceremony in Ireland captured the world in 1999. Although their wedding was a luxurious affair, there are many ways you can take inspiration from their nuptials. They went for a themed wedding, with a Disney wedding cake, royal throne chairs, and bridesmaids dressed as woodland fairies. This theme made their wedding unique – if you and your partner enjoy the idea of a themed wedding, you can take some inspiration from the Beckham’s here. David and Victoria also had their son Brooklyn act as a ring bearer – involving their young family made their ceremony special. Paying close attention to your family and close friends’ roles in your ceremony can add a personal touch to your wedding ceremony.

Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III of Monaco

Before the televised royal wedding in 2011, this was the original fairytale wedding. In 1956, Hollywood star Grace Kelly became a princess when she married the Prince of Monaco. After meeting at the Cannes film festival, they were engaged a year later. Her engagement ring was an eternity band with rubies and diamonds, to represent the colors of the flag of Monaco. Celebrating your partner’s heritage and culture can make a beautiful wedding. The wedding had a beautiful mix of both traditional and non-traditional aspects. For example, white doves were released during the ceremony, but Kelly didn’t wear a traditional tiara, and instead opted for a chic headpiece. Mixing both tradition and modernity can make a beautiful, current wedding ceremony that still honors the past.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Beyonce and Jay-Z caused media mayhem in 2008 when they were spotted getting a marriage license at Scarsdale Village Hall in New York. However, details of their wedding would not be released- they had a very intimate wedding with a strict no social media policy. If you want your wedding to remain private for a while, politely asking this of your guests can make the pictures and videos a nice surprise. Furthermore, Beyonce and Jay-Z honored their musical careers by playing amazing music well into the night- the party kept going until 5 am! Maybe you don’t want to be partying for that long, but if you want to keep spirits high, make sure your music is upbeat and represents you both as a couple. It could be a fun task to come up with the playlist together!

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker

When Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker tied the knot for the third time in Italy, everyone was focused on the dress and the social media coverage. However, one of the best parts of the wedding has been criminally under-reported- the food bar! Kourtney and Travis treated their guests to a pasta bar, alongside a cannoli station serving made-to-order pastries. You might not be able to serve your guests food on Dolce and Gabbana crockery, however, food stations may be a great idea. They have been very popular in recent years, and you can personalize it so they serve food that represents you and your partner. For example, did you eat Mexican food on your first date? Why not have a taco bar? This is a fun and inventive way to put a bit of personality into your wedding ceremony.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves

In 2013, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves tied the knot at a beautiful festival-themed campground wedding in Texas. The ceremony lasted three days, and provided air-conditioned tents for their guests, with lots of food and entertainment. Some of their guests, dressed in festival outfits, didn’t sleep for over 24 hours! Although they had a non-traditional wedding, with no first dance and no wedding cake, their love was at the forefront of the entire day. No matter what you choose, make sure you and your partner’s love is at the centre of the day. This way, both you and your guests will remember your special day for all the right reasons!
