Your venue will dictate a lot of your wedding choices and is typically one of your first (if not the first) decision you make about your nuptials celebration. While it’s not a hard and fast rule, you’ll often find brides want their bridesmaid dress style to be cohesive with the space.

If your wedding venue is outdoors and rustic, you may opt for charmeuse fabric. If your wedding venue is very formal, satin or velvet may be a more appropriate choice.

Take Weather & Temperature Into Account

Fall weather can be rather unpredictable depending on where your venue is and what month you’re getting married in. You’ll want to look up future and historical weather data to determine if your bridesmaids would be more comfortable in a bridesmaid dress with sleeves, a heavier fabric like velvet, or if they’ll need a shawl to walk down the aisle.
