Choose the Right Venue

It all starts with the venue! The perfect rustic vintage wedding aesthetic requires a venue where it not only makes sense for that decor, but enhances it. Look for farmhouses, barn venues, vintage-feeling manor house, event venues with rustic touches like iron chandeliers and stonework, or use an outdoor space fit for the perfect garden-style wedding.

Plan Your Bridal Style

Now that your venue is decided on, it’s time to plan your bridal style to fit the space. However, if you did this step first, no worries, we don’t blame you! Since your venue and decor will majorly set the feel of the space, you can feel free to deviate from the theme for your bridal look if you so desire. But if you want to play up the rustic vintage feel, opt for a boho-style gown, flowing styles, or lace for your dress. Accessorize with pearls, family handed-down jewelry, a birdcage or cathedral veil, or a bouquet broach!

Decide on the Groom & Groomsmen Attire

Next up are the men. The same thinking goes for the groom and his posse, you can include the rustic vintage theme as much or as little in their attire choices as you want. The only exception would be a very formal, black tuxedo look may be slightly clashing with any rustic elements you’re incorporating.

Groomsmen outfit and accessories for the vintage rustic theme include: suspenders, bow ties, no suit jackets, velvet or tweed materials, and bowler hats or fedoras. Include these elements as much or as little as you want for your leading men!

Select Your Color Palette

For rustic decor, think wood and metal materials. Wood offers an unmatched warmth and metals like iron, gold or brushed nickel are the perfect accents. These paired with simple greenery and florals make for an ultra-rustic decor scheme! We especially love these rustic decor ideas:
